The purpose of this study is to analyse the causal relation among school organizational culture,
teacher efficacy, and school organizational commitment. This study examined the causal-relation
model existing among school organizational culture, teacher efficacy and organizational commitment.
The subjects in this study were elementary school teachers who were selected by stratified random
sampling from Incheon and Gyeonggi province. After a survey was conducted, questionnaires from
1,123 teachers were analyzed. For data handling, SPSS Win(Ver 12.0) and AMOS 5.0 programs
were utilized.
The findings of the study showed that school organizational culture affects teacher efficacy
significantly, and teacher efficacy also affects school organizational commitment significantly. But
school organizational culture does not give significant effect on school organizational commitment.
The result implies the indirect effect of school organizational culture on school organizational
commitment through the mediating variable of teacher efficacy.
