The purpose of this study was to survey study was to survey the point of view of elemenraty school teachers on physical education and its real teaching activities and then, to find out the cariables that affect on physical education teaching activities. In this study, the subjects were 6 elemenraty school teachers (3 male and 3 remales) in Taegu city. Date were collected through partivipant observations, in-depth interviews, teacher journals and documents. the results of this study were as follows: 1. teachers laid more emphasis on children\'s interests and activities than skill improvements in elementary school physical education. 2. teachers in elementary schools who aren\'t physical education specialists thought that the subject was not included in the main subjects such as language, mathematics and science. 3. teachers thought that schools had ho be furnished with institutions such as gymnasium and plentiful sporting goods. 5. teachers thought that elementary physical education specialist system should be introduced in all grades.
