This study tries to verify the effect of the family strengthening program regarding communication and conflict
solving style for the high school student. The experimental group of 12 families took part in the 4 weeks family
strengthening program. The program designed to the twice a week session, with a total of 8 sessions.
Communication and conflict solving style questionnaire were used for evaluating the effect of the family
strengthening program. ANOVA for the covariant of pretest results, and ANCOVA as a repetitive pre-post-follow
up measurement were conducted. The results are followings. First, there is no meaningful influence on
communication skills for the high school student. Second, some effectiveness was found from the conflict solving
style. Implications and suggestions are offered for the future research
