The object of this paper is to study the diversity of fairy tales' interpretation. To achieve this aim, I analyzed ‘Cinderella’, the famous fairy tale written by Brother Grimm's, social-psychological, psychoanalytic, and analytical psychological way. By this analysis, it was able to explore the wisdom of life that scholars have found from the story of Cinderella. Dowling, who analyzed Cinderella social-psychologically, strongly proposes people to be independent by finding the essence of them selves. In order to do so, Dowling suggests women to avoid social restriction and tendency to rely on husband that was built by women’s oppressive culture. Bettelheim, who interpreted Cinderella psychoanalytical, suggests people to achieve positive self-identity, independence and diligence by overcoming self-abasement, castration anxiety, and Oedipus disillusionment from repressed desires of children. Ulnov, who analyzed Cinderella analytical psychologically, insisted that Cinderella’s good and loving heart led her to overcome the jealousy and competition between her sisters by clearly contrasted goodness of Cinderella and the evilness of stepmother and sisters. Drewerman, who also analyzed Cinderella analytical psychologically, presents the main character of the story may achieve self-realization and individualization when diverse inner characteristics unified and make a whole by the meeting of anima and animus.
