The purpose of this study is to analyze the teacher\'s recognition on the physical education teacher\'s guide in elementary school which is a material for the 7th national curriculum of physical education and the state of utilizing the teacher\'s guide, and then to collect the fundamental data for using and improving the physical education theachet\'s guide in elementary school effectively in the future.
To achieve this study purpose, we exforced the literature study and the investigating study. We compared the characteristics of the physical education teacher\'s guide and the system editing the physical educatrion teacher\'s guide by the perods of the physical educationcurriculum in the literature studym and we studied on the educational state of the physical education in the elementary school in the investigating study.
The subjects of class teachers of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades of elementary school and 320 elementary physical education teachers with exclusive responsibility were drawn from the elementary schools located in Kyeongsangnamdo. And we collected the data by enforcing a questionnaire, and carried out a frequency analysis and enforced to verity the difference by the teacher\'s background variables(gender a career as a teacher a career of taking exclusive responsibility on elementary physical education a career as a current class teacher working area)
The results obtained of this study through this invdstigation are as follows:
First, in the aspect of the state of utilizing the physical education teacher\'s guide, it was appeared that the degree of using the physical education teacher\'s guide was high, and the degree of using the internet sites related to the instructions using internet which has convenience or variety thoroughly and a monthly educational magazine and so on was high.
Second, the teachers answered they recognized that the contents of introduction part of the physical education teacher\'s guide is helpful for the physical education,but in the aspect of understansing the contents of introduction part, they recognized that they themselves have a poor understanding , Especially, 「Teaching and Learning Methods 」part in the introduction part was appeared to be emphasized more.
Third, it is indicated that the teachers recognized that each part of the introduction of the physical education teacher\'s guide is helpful for teaching and guiding the physical education.
but the contents presented in \'real practive of instruction by classes\' don\'t satisfy the teacher\'s expectation.
