The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the difference on cardiorespiratory function, body composition, serum enayme and hormones responses between runners and swimmers. All data were collected on 7 university runners ( average 20 years ) and 7 university swimmers ( average 20 years). Analyses were made between runners and swimmers for measure of cardiorespiratory functions body composition, serum enzyme and hormone responses, Serum LDH, GOT, GPT and testosterone, cortisol were measured in resting bolld sample, and maximal oxygen consumption was measured using treadmill during maximal exercise. Statistical analysis of collected data were analyzed in t-test using SPSS 11.0 package program, with an alpha level of p<.05.
The conclusion of this study was as follows:
Firtst, RQ was significantly higher in funner\'s group(p<.05), V max, VCo2max, Vo2max, vo2max/wt , BF and TV in Cardiorespiratory Functions were not significant between two groups.
Second , % fat , LBM, Body fat in blood composition were significantly higher in swimmer\'s group than runner\'s group (p<.05m p<.01) . body density was sigcnificantly higher in runner\'s group than swimmer\'s group (p<.01).
Third, cortisol, testosterone, GPT and LDH in rerum enqyme and gormone responses were significantly higher in funner\'s group than swimmer\'s group(p<.05, p<.01, p<.001), GOT was significantly higher in swimmer\'s group than ruccer\'s group (p<.05)
