The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stress, social support and stress coping on
mental health of low-income adolescent. To acquire the purpose of this study, I surveyed 484 middle
school students who participated in Education Welfare Priority Zone on the School Adjustment of Daegu
Metropolitan City with structured questionnaires and the analysis results of the 484 data sets by using
SPSS 21.0 version and AMOS 21.0 version are as below. Firstly, the stress, social support, and stress
coping of research targets turned out to have direct influence on the mental health. Secondly, research
targets' social support turned out to have mediated effect on the relation between stress and mental
health. Thirdly, research targets' stress coping did not show any indirect influence on the relation between
stress and mental health. Fourthly, research targets' social support and stress coping turned out to have
medicated effect on the relation between stress and mental health. As for practical implication, I suggested
integrated service support including professional service for mental health to increase mental health of
low-income adolescents and also suggested to expand social support and qualitative increase.
