본 연구의 목적은 내재적 종교성향이 클수록 교직헌신도가 높은지 살펴보고, 내재적 종교성향과 교직헌신도간의 관계에서 친사회적 행동과 주관적 안녕감의 역할에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 구체적으로 친사회적 행동과 주관적 안녕감이 내재적 종교성향과 교직헌신도에 매개변인으로서 작용하는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 경기도에서 근무하는 초등학교 교사 152명을 대상으로 내재적 종교성향, 교직헌신도, 친사회적 행동, 주관적 안녕감을 측정했다. 가설모형을 검증하기 위해 구조방정식 모형(SEM:Structural Equation Modeling)을 이용해 모형의 적합도와 경로계수를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 교사의 내재적 종교성향은 친사회적 행동을 매개로 교직헌신도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 교사의 친사회적 행동은 부분적으로 주관적 안녕감을 통해 교직헌신도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 내재적 종교성향과 교직헌신도와의 관계에서 친사회적 행동이 가장 설명력 있는 변인인 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 교직헌신도를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안과 관련한 본 연구의 의의와 제언을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to examine whether higher internal religious orientation contributes to higher teacher commitment, and to clarify the roles of prosocial behavior and subjective well-being on the relationship between internal religious orientation and teacher commitment. In specific, this study tested the mediation effects of prosocial behavior and subjective well-being on the internal religious orientation-teacher commitment relationship. The survey pertaining internal religious orientation, teacher commitment, prosocial behavior, and subjective well-being was completed by 152 elementary teachers working in GyeongGi province. Structural equation modeling was used to test the proposed model through evaluating model fit and path coefficients. Internal religious orientation was shown to affect teacher commitment through prosocial behavior. Subjective well-being was found to partially mediate the relationship between prosocial behavior and teacher commitment. In sum, prosocial behavior is the most significant variable that accounts for the relationship between internal religious orientation and teacher commitment. Implications and future directions regarding techniques to improve teacher commitment are discussed. (158 words)
