The aim of this paper is to pick up three primary schools as representatives of studying the
construction of social studies lesson by school teachers, to analyze a view of social studies education, the
unit of primary social studies and a lesson. Then, to abstract the principles from the unit and its lesson.
In this paper, analyze the unit and its lessons of social studies in three primary schools; Akebono primary
school in Fukuyama city, Hiroshima prefecture, Michinoue primary school Fukuyama city and Akasaka
primary school in Fukuoka city, Fukuoka prefecture. First of all, in this paper take up the social studies
in Akebono Primary school using teaching materials in community and structure of knowledge. Secondly,
take up the social studies in Michinoue primary school using problem-solving model. Lastly, take up the
social studies in Akasaka primary school using teaching materials the key person in community and an
activity of listening of voices from other students.
