Emphasizing the importance of school discipline this paper attempts to explore factors on school discipline focused on causal relationships. By rviewing the related literature it tries to classfy the causal factors of school discipline and examine their relations with a purpose of finding out the ways of either preventing or solving school discipline problems. The causal factors can be classified broadly into individual and environmental factors, and the individual factors are divided into physiological and psychological factors and the environmental factors are divided into socio-cultural factors and family, peer group, school, and teacher factors. Among these environmental factors school and teacher factors are assumed to be most important since the discipline problems occur and are constructed by school members inside the school wall. It is very difficult to specify the concrete mechanisms of causing school discipline problems because the mechanisms are complicated with many factors. Nevertheless, we should try to maintain the effort to find them from the perspective of school and teacher. This is just a beginning.
