현대는 지식 폭발의 시대이다. 엄청난 양의 지식이 생겨나고 그 지식의 주기도 짧아 학교에서는 그 모든 지식을 다 가르칠 수도 없다. 행동주의 학습 개념에 따른 양적인 지식의 습득은 한계가 있으며 또 그것은 각 개인에게 무의미한 지식의 암기만을 강요하여 학습자에게 새로운 학습부담과 스트레스로 다가오고 있다. 이제 학교는 이러한 20세기 주입식 교육의 방식에서 벗어나 학습자에게 학습할 수 있는 능력을 길러주어야 하는 중요한 시점에 와 있다고 할 것이다. 최근 교육현장에서 발생하고 있는 여러 가지 문제점들에 대하여 다수의 교육전문가들은 학교교육이 입시를 위한 주입과 암기를 중심으로 이루어짐으로 인하여 학생들의 진정한 학습능력 배양에 실패한 것과 사회의 급변에 따른 지식의 양적‧질적 폭주에 대응하는 능력을 상실한 것을 주된 원인으로 분석하고 있다.
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the factor of study skills and to find differences among three grades levels of Elementary School. The Study Skills Program which was developed on theoretical organization and actual experience was consisted of five lower programs; self-management skills, class-participation skills, assignment solving skills, test-taking skills, and information processing skills. At the same time pupil\'s work book and teacher\'s manual was developed to assist learning the program. The subjects of this study were sampled from three classes at the fourth year grade, fifth grade and the sixth year grade in a certain elementary school in Pusan, Korea. The data was analyzed by MANOVA, t-test. The study seeks to answer the following problems. 1) Are there some effects in Study Skills Program Training on fourth grade? 2) Are there some effects in Study Skills Program Training on fifth grade? 3) Are there some effects in Study Skills Program Training on sixth grade? The findings of this study were as follows; 1) There are significant effects in Study Skills Program Training on fourth grade. 2) There are significant effects in Study Skills Program Training on fifth grade. 3) There are significant effects in Study Skills Program Training on sixth grade. In conclusion, This findings suggest that the systemetic using of particular study skills were responsible for the success of elementary school students. It is necessary to encourage students to use study skills more.
