This study presented abusing and injured situation factors and interaction factors associated elderly abused situation by having depth interviews with both abusing and injured people on the personal, family-situational and social-environmental factors. Qualitative study applied grounded theory was conducted to do this study. This research method is proper to build a temporary assumption that is related to elder abusing and injured situation factors and their relationship. There were 10 subjects who were introduced by elder abuse report centers in 2 social welfare centers for elderly in Seoul(6), victims\' shelter of Korean elders\' telephone(2) and community\'s direct interview(2) except to the facilities. I presented the scale of elder abuse to the caseworker and asked them to introduce the abused people and abusing one. The important thing of the subject decision was this; abused person\'s communication ability and the family that had offsprings, because many research showed that most abusing offender was elderly\'s offsprings. The interviewer of this study consisted of 3 based on the triangular verification theory to increase the reliability of the result. During 3 months in advance, they studied qualitative study method and prepared the depth interview. The ways to maintain the interviewer\'s objectivity were recording the interviews and interviewer\'s discussion. Data analysis and data collection were done at once. The analysis method was Strauss and Corbin\'s constant comparison method. The process was this; reviewing text data, comparing these in many ways, conforming the concepts of them, classifying these concepts and bridging the categories(Minichiello et al, 2000 : 257).
