이 연구는 정치교육을 위한 민주주의의 기본 이념과 이념적 유형에 대하여 체계적, 심 층적으로 논의하여 정치교육에 기여하고자 한다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구문 제는 다음과 같다. (1) 민주주의의 기본적 이념인 인간의 존엄성, 자유, 평등의 개념과 역사 및 구체적 내용 (2) 민주주의의 반대 즉 반민주주의의 유형인 전체주의와 권위주의의 개념과 특징 (3) 자유주의적 민주주의의 유래와 한계 및 대안 (4) 사회주의적 민주주의의 유래와 한계 및 대안
The purpose of this article is to contribute to the political education through inquiring into the fundamental ideology and the ideological type of democracy. The major matters of this study are as follows; (1) The concept, history, and concreat contents of the dignity of man, liberty, and equality as the fundamental ideology of democracy (2) The concept and characteristics of totalitarianism and authoritarianism as a contrary concept of democracy (3) The origin, limitation and alternatives proposal of liberal democracy (4) The origin, limitation and alternatives proposal of socialist democracy
