본 연구의 대상은 인천시 S초등학교 5학년 남자 아동 중 16명을 무작위로 선정하였고, 심폐기능 측정을 위해 미국 Quinton사의 트레드밀을 이용하였으며, 운동부하방법은 KISS(re) 프로토콜에 의한 점증적 운동검사를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 11.0을 이용 하여 비모수 검증방법인 Mann-Whitney U 부호 순위 검정으로 통계처리 하고 유의 수준 은 p<.05 로 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 산소섭취량과 이산화탄소 배출량의 차는 stage2, 3, 4, 5와 회복단계에서 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 환기량의 차는 stage4, 5와 회복단계에서 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 호흡교환율 차는 stage5 단계에서는 두 집단 간에 유의 한 차이가 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the difference of the physical fitness level of elementary school boys to their cardio- respiratory function. The subjects in this study were 16 students who were selected by random sampling from among boys in their fifth graders of S elementary school in Incheon. Out of them, eight children rated first level in physical fitness, and the others were rated fifth level. The findings of the study were as follows: There was a significant difference in oxygen intake and Co2 emission between the two groups during in stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 and during recovery period. Regarding ventilation rate, there were significant difference during stages 4 and 5 and recovery period. In relation to respiratory exchange ratio, significant intergroup gap was found between the two was significant in stage 5. Key word : Physical Fitness Level, Cardiorespiratory Function.
