본 연구에서는 음악전공 대학생들의 2X2 성취목표지향성과 능력 믿음 간의 관계에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 먼저 선행연구들을 통해 4 가지 요인의 성취목표지향성(숙달 접근, 숙달회피, 수행접근, 수행회피)과 능력 믿음(실재 믿음, 증가된 믿음)에 대해 8가지의 가설을 통해 연구모형을 설립하였다. 연구대상으로는 서울과 경기 소재의 음악대학 전공자 129명으로 하였으며, 단계적 회귀분석으로 연구모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과는 기량을 숙달하려는 성취목표 성향이 큰 학생은 예술적 능력이 학습과 노력을 통해 증가된다고 보는 증가된 믿음을 지니는 것으로 볼 수 있었다. 또한 숙달회피 성향을 가진 대학생은 예술적 능력이 타고난 재능이며 학습과 노력에 의해 크게 바뀌지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 음악전공 대학생들의 성취목표지향성과 능력 믿음에 대해 시사점과 후속과제가 논의되었다.
This research paper focuses on the correlation between 2x2 achievement oriented objective and belief in competence. First of all, through previous conducted studies on 4 factors of each ``achievement oriented objective (mastery approach, proficiency avoidance, training approach, effort avoidance) and ``belief in one`s artistic competence``(actual belief, growing belief), we had came up with 8 hypothesis to establish our research model. We had sampled 129 college musicology students who lived in Seoul city and GyungGi province. The research model was conducted with a multiple regression analysis. The results shows that goal oriented students who craft their skills for much higher achievement tends to increase their confidence. In other words, the students believed that their work ethic are highly rewarding. On the other hand, ``effort avoiding`` students tends to be the more talented group. And the results show that their effort in learning is ineffectual. Instead of using ``achievement oriented objective`` and ``belief in one`s artistic competence`` as a theoretical measurement in research studies, we have to look over the student`s actually musical performance to test their overall musical talent.
