This study is made to observe the effects of parent education based on the transactional analysis counseling theory. Transactional analysis counseling theory is believing that by positively changing and understanding the psychology of parents, one can establish the certain way of nurturing a child, such as supporting and encouraging for a child’s successful life. Thirty mothers in their 30s and early 40s, studying at the Academy of Continuing Education with young children, were divided in to the comparative group and treatment group. They were tested previously and subsequently on “Ego-gram” and “OK-gram”. The parent education program's composition based on the transactional analysis theory was completed by total of 8 sessions (20 hours). Collected data composed of a non-parasitic statistics, because there were only fifteen subjects and therefore this group did not exceed thirty. As a result of researching, there was positive effective of “I'm okay” in “OK-gram”. Affection and autonomous attitude are increased in effect of child-rearing attitude change. Parent education program based on transactional analysis theory can be used to understand human nature and through a healthy exchange, it may promote human growth and development. This research also presented that restoring self-direction of a parent will greatly affect the nurturing of the offspring. So variety of parent education programs based on the transactional analysis must be researched and developed, and it should be provided to parents in support of national conditions and the composition. I also firmly stress on the necessity of the governmental attention on the good and diverse education of working mothers who need parental education, mothers with problematic children, fathers who are raising children.
