본 연구는 통일의 필요성 인식에 영향을 미치는 다양한 영향 요인들을 시계열적으로 그리고 종합적으로 분석함으로써 남한 사회 구성원의 의식의 흐름을 확인하는 데 목적을 두었다. 분석의 결과, 남한 사회의 남북통일 필요성 인식은 매년 낮아지고 있으며, 2006년 대비 2014년에는 통계적으로 유의한 수준까지 낮아진 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 성별, 연령, 학력, 한국 국민인 것에 대한 자부심, 정치적 성향, 북한에 대한 태도는 2006년과 2014년 모두 남북통일 필요성 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인임을 알 수 있었다. 반면, 살고 있는 지역 규모, 월평균 가구 총소득, 한국경제 변화에 대한 예상은 남북통일 필요성 인식에의 영향력이 없어졌으며, 한국 정치의 향후 전망, 군대운영자에 대한 신뢰 등은 남북통일 필요성 인식에의 영향력이 증가했음을 알 수 있었다. 이것은 경제적 측면에 의한 영향력은 감소한 반면, 정치ㆍ사회적 측면의 영향력을 증가한 것으로 판단할 수 있다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 성별, 연령, 학력, 한국 국민인 것에 대한 자부심, 정치적 성향, 북한에 대한 태도 등에 따라 차별화된 통일의식 제고를 위한 교육이 필요함을 알려준다. 나아가 국민들이 한국 사회의 정치ㆍ사회적 전망을 긍정적이고 발전적으로 인식할 수 있도록 국정을 운영해야 함도 알려준다.
This research have an object that trace the flow of awareness of unification of South Korean, by so analyzes timely and synthetically analysis of various factors influencing on necessity recognition of Korea reunification. The results of the analyses, necessity recognition of Korea reunification in South Korean lower by year, and necessity recognition of Korea reunification of 2014 than 2006 get lower statistically significant level. Sex, age, academic background, self-esteem as Korean, political bias, attitude toward North Korea is factors influencing on necessity recognition of Korea reunification both 2006 and 2014. And size of lived area, a monthly average family s total income, prospect about Korean economy was not extend to necessity recognition of Korea reunification in 2014 year, but degree of exchange opinion about Korea politics, belief about korea military was strong extend to necessity recognition of Korea reunification in 2014 year. It saw that decrease economic influence, but increase politic and social influence. According, I suggests that must offer at different reunification education based on Sex, age, academic background, self-esteem as Korean, political bias, attitude toward North Korea. Also, I suggests that must limpidly administrate state affairs for positive Korea sociey’s politic and social prospect.
