본 논문은 거의 진행되지 않은 새로운 분야의 연구로 TV 음악방송에서 음악분석을 통하여 음악과 조명색채의 조화를 추구하는 것을 목적으로 하는 연구이다. 먼저 영화 ‘졸업’의 주제곡인 ‘Goodbye’를 음원으로 선택하여, 그 곡의 분석을 시도하였다. 컴퓨터 기반 음악분석 방법으로 MATLAB의 MIR toolbox를 이용하여 음원의 색채를 추정할 수 있는 음악적 특성을 추출하였다. 그리고 Waveform, Spectrum, Chromagram, Key, Keystrength, Keysom 등을 시각화하였다. TV 음악방송에서 청각적 요소인 음악과 시각적 요소인 영상이 함께 방송되기 때문에 음악과 영상의 색채가 조화를 이뤄야 한다. 음악과 색채는 인간의 감성을 자극하고 또한 모두 주파수로 구성되어 있기 때문에 음악의 분위기와 조화로운 TV 영상 색채를 조성하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 조명디자인에서 음악을 해석하여 적합한 색채를 선정할 때 음악의 과학적이고 확률적인 분석과 해석 외에 조명 디자이너의 감성이 결합된 조화로운 색채와 음악의 결합이 요구된다.
This study is a study on a rarely studied area and it aims to seek the harmony between music and lighting color through music analysis in TV music broadcasting. In the first place, the study selects ‘Goodbye’, a thematic song of a film ‘The Graduate’ and attempts to analyze the music. As a computer-based method of analyzing music, MIR toolbox from MATLAB has been used to extract musical features to estimate the color of the music. And, Waveform, Spectrum, Chromagram, Key, Keystrength and Keysom are visualized. As music, an auditory factor and image, a visual factor, are broadcasted together in TV music broadcasting, the harmony between music and image must be accomplished. Since music and color stimulate human emotion and are all composed of frequencies, it is necessary to create a harmonious TV image color with the mood of music. When selecting a suitable color by interpreting music in a lighting design, the combination of harmonized color and music is required that combines scientific and statistical analysis and interpretation and emotion of a lighting designer.
