본 연구의 목적은 과학동화를 활용한 신체표현활동이 유아의 창의적 신체표현력과 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구 대상은 광주광역시에 소재한 N 어린이집에 재원 중인 만 4세 유아 30명(실험집단 15명, 비교집단 15명)이었다. 실험집단은 과학동화를 활용한 신체표현활동에, 비교집단은 과학동화를 읽은 후 그림 그리기 활동에 참여하였다. 연구결과는 실험집단 점수가 창의적 신체표현력의 5가지 하위영역과 과학적 태도의 8가지 하위영역에서 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 과학동화를 활용한 신체표현활동이 유아의 창의적 신체표현력과 과학적 태도 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것이다. 결국 본 연구는 과학동화를 활용한 신체표현활동의 교육적 효과를 입증함으로써 유아의 창의적 신체표현력과 과학적 태도를 증진하는 효과적인 교수-학습 방법을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the physical expression activities using fairy tale of science on young children’s creative physical expression and scientific attitude. The participants of this study included thirty four-year-old children who were going to N preschool in Gwangju metropolitan city. Half of them belonged to the experimental group and the other half to the comparative group. The experimental group participated in the physical expression activities using fairy tale of science, and the comparative group participated in the drawing activities after reading fairy tale of science. The results of this study showed that the scores of the experimental group were increased meaningfully in 5 sub-domains of creative physical expression and 8 sub-domains of scientific attitude. It was observed that the physical expression activities using fairy tale of science positively affected young children’s creative physical expression and scientific attitude. As a result, it is significant that this study suggests the effective teaching-learning method to increase young children’s creative physical expression and scientific attitude by proving the educational effects of the physical expression activity using fairy tale of science.
