The study conducted to understand the current status of education system for the blind and how to develop the educational system for the blind based on the experience and perception of experienced special education teacher with visual impairments who work in the school for the blind. For the study, we implemented the group interview and individual in-depth interview with 11 experienced teachers with visual impairments who work in the school for the blind. After the interview, we transcript the collected contents and analyze the data using a qualitative analysis method. The confirmation of participant and external audit was needed to gain the validity and reliability of study. The results were presented by five main themes and 16 sub-themes. The five main themes are as following: 1) what is career?, 2) inappropriate curriculum, 3) who should have responsibility for a school of the blind, 4) still I am a teacher, and 5) a way forward for the future. We discuss 1) the educational experience of special educational teacher with visual impairments should expand not only inside the school but also beyond the blind school for the application of their experience and 2) the direction of educational system for the blind, which include the curriculum, school system and the job of school. should be reconstructed for the requirement of the blind based on the results. After then the educational performance will be improved. The study suggest the multidisciplinary approach on current stature and future direction of the eduction for the blind based on the opinions of experienced special education teachers with blind.
