Comprehensive nursing care refers to nurse and nursing assistant personnel without a guardian providing hospitalized nursing service and patient safety management of team nursing systems. Comprehensive nursing care, which started in 2013 as a demonstration project, is currently expanding after being converted into a health insurance benefit project with the spread of MERS in 2015. In the meantime, various studies have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the project, and positive effects of the project were reported on the patient side, such as ward environment improvement and patient satisfaction improvement. However, in the evaluation of nurse aspect such as nurse s job satisfaction and stress, each study shows different results. Thus, this study attempted to review the literature that evaluated related variables of nurses and nursing services. This study searched literature related to comprehensive nursing care published from January 2013 to December 2017 using domestic and foreign databases such as KISS, NDSL, RISS, National Assembly Library, MEDLINE (PubMED), CINAHL and Cochrane Library, etc. This study used keywords including ‘nurse’, nursing caring combination , comprehensive nursing service , comprehensive nursing , comprehensive service , ward with no caregiver , nurse , patient‐sitter wards ‘nursing care , Korea , etc. Finally, eighteen studies were selected and analyzed. This study conducted analysis of variables related to nursing such as nurses’ job satisfaction, job burden and quality of nursing service among evaluations of effects of comprehensive nursing care. It is expected that this study will be an important task as a foundation work for suggesting the improvement plan that the comprehensive nursing care system can be spread steadily.
