Purpose:　This study attempted to analyze the direction of the heart failure related nursing research by analyzing the main research topics and relevant measurement in the domestic nursing research conducted in patients with heart failure. Methods:　It analyzed the research papers were analyzed from the beginning until November 2017, and the final 22 papers were analyzed. The keywords of the papers were heart failure , nursing , and patient . Results:　Of the total 22 out of the total 22 subjects, 15 studies were conducted. The most common type of research design was descriptive research 13(59.1%), as the data collection method of the study, 15(68.2%) questionnaires were used .The characteristics of the study subjects were 18 outpatients (81.8%) and the average age was 61~65 years old and 11(50%). The main research concept was physiological related disease 29(42.1%), and it was gradually increasing. Also, in the psychological domain, self-care activities 24(34.8%) were found. The main measurement tools were self-care, functional status, quality of life and knowledge, depression and support. Conclusions: This study suggests the development and study of nursing intervention program according to symptom and stage of heart failure in patients. In addition, we propose a research method applying various concepts, rather than the existing concept, and development of a tool suited to the characteristics of domestic patients.
