The purpose of this study was determined to the effects of extension activities through anti-bias picture story book on acceptive attitude and social interaction of non-disabled young children toward disabled young children. The subjects for this study were the 20 non-disabled children in the class for 4-year-old of the integrated kindergarten with disabilities. The experimental group and the control group consisted of 10 children each. The experimental group was exposed to the extension activities through anti-bias picture story books to observe how the social interaction between non-disabled and disabled young children changed. A questionnaire was used to examine the acceptive attitude toward disability and a survey inventory was created to observe the social interaction between non-disabled and disabled young children.
The results of this study were as follows First, the extension activities through anti-bias picture story books made a positive influence on the acceptive attitude of non-disabled young children toword disabled children. Second, he extension activities through anti-bias picture story books made a positive influence on social interaction between non-disabled and disabled young children. Especially, as experiment mediateness increased, positive interaction was increased and negative interaction was decreased. accordingly, the utilization of Anti-bias education on disability has implications for successful early integrated education.
