The use of information technology in present and future societies has become a necessity, not an option. This is no exception to academic research or education also. In recent years, research on the convergence of ICT with academic disciplines such as Humanities and Area Studies, and the sharing and diffusion of academic research, education and contents using information technology have attracted attention. However, in the field of academic research and education despite the needs of the user, most of the methods for these are still simple research methods are uesed, such as using book materials or using the web. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop a more efficient education model. Especially, it is necessary to study how to carry out education in information technology and humanities/social sciences related to ICT convergence. In this paper, it conduct research on the use of information systems in specific subject education as part of educational methodology. In detail, A study the design method of Area Studies Education Support System which can effectively communicate and educate specific local culture by using D3, a responsive web visualization tool.
