본 연구는 탈빈곤 프로그램인 사회적 마이크로크레딧의 이용과정을 수혜자 관점에서 탐색함으로써 ‘한국형 마이크로크레딧의 원형’의 의미를 조명하고자 하였다. 사회적 마이크로크레딧은 상반된 유형인 금융형 마이크로크레딧 보다 더 빈곤한 자를 대상으로 대출과 창업서비스를 제공하는 프로그램이다. 연구 목적을 위해 비영리 민간기관에서 마이크로크레딧을 지원받은 6명을 대상으로 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 분석은 Strauss & Corbin(1990)의 근거이론 개방코딩 분석방법을 활용하였다. 분석결과 86개의 코드, 15개의 하위범주, 6개의 상위범주로 나타났다. 6개의 상위범주는 ‘겨우 도달한 바늘구멍’, ‘함께 맞서는 여정’, ‘애써 이겨내려는 짐꾼’, ‘사막에서 조우한 오아시스’, ‘긍정적인 선택의 열매 맺음’, ‘대오를 견고하게 이어가는 삶’이 도출되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 사회적 마이크로크레딧의 필요성과 발전방안을 제언하였다.
This research examined the meaning of social microcredit, evaluated as ‘origin of korean microcredit’ by searching the experience and meaning of using from the point of beneficiary’s view. Social microcredit provides poorer with loan and management support services than financial microcredit. To the study purpose, researchers carried out the qualitative review for 6 clients supported by non-profit microcredit institution. And data were analysed with open coding process, data analysis method in the ground theory suggested by Strauss & Corbin(1990). As a result, it was shown that there were 86 codes, 15 sub-categories and 6 categories. 6 categories were ‘barely arrived at eye of needle’, ‘journey where we fight together’, ‘burden-bearer that studiously tried to overcome’, ‘oasis to encounter in desert’, ‘positive selection came to fruition’, and ‘life continuing to form solid ranks’. Based on these experiences and meanings, the necessity of social microcredit and plan for its development was suggested.
