본 논문은 어린이집에서 영어음악극 활동의 활성화 방안과 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 현장에서 영어 음악극의 실태조사를 통해 유아의 음악적 능력 및 이해능력에 영향을 미치는 영향력을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법으로는 대전지역 보육교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 예비조사와 본조사 순으로 진행하였다. 어린이집 교사들의 영어음악극에 관한 인식, 현장적용, 교사훈련의 필요성을 각각 서술적 분석을 통해 진행하였다. 어린이집교사들의 영어음악극에 대한 현장적용을 살펴본 결과 어린이집교사들은 유아의 발달상황을 고려하여 유아의 흥미와 요구를 반영하여 현장에서 쉽게 적용 시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램 개발이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 또한 연수의 기회를 통해 교사들에게 영어음악극에 대한 관심을 높여야 할 것으로 보았다. 또한 영유아가 자유스럽게 영어음악극 에 접근할 수 있도록 환경조성이 필요하다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 이에 지속적인 연구가 필요하며 영어음악극을 활성화 시킬 수 있는 다양한 방안이 모색 되어져야 할 것이다.
The research was conducted in order to produce a basic concept on the teacher of young children for music drama. As for the research method, the survey was conducted on child care teachers in Daejeon area, followed by preliminary and main surveys. Teachers in daycare centers were aware of English music plays, applied on-site, and required teacher training through descriptive analysis, respectively. According to a survey of the field application of children s teachers on English music shows, children s teachers should increase their interest in English music plays by developing various programs that can be easily applied in the educational field reflecting the interests and needs of infants, and by expanding opportunities for seminars and training for the re-education of child teachers. We also found that the environment needed to help infants perform freely in English music plays. Continuing research is needed and various ways to boost English music play should be explored.
