This paper was to identify the effects of video therapy on preschool children’s pain and intravenous treatment during venipuncture. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pre-test and post-test design was used. The 72 subjects were divided into 2 groups. Video therapy was applied to experimental group(n=36), and no application was given to the control group(n=36). The data was collected from September 1 to November 31 in 2017. Data were analyzed with chi-square test and t-test using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Face pain rating scale(t=-4.922, p<.001), procedure behavior check list(t=-5.583, p<.001), and trial injection(t=-2.302, p=.024) were found to decrease significantly in the treatment group.\nThese results suggest that video therapy was effective in reducing the children’s injection pain and nursing care time.
