본 연구의 목적은 초등학생들의 창의성향과 내·외재동기와 자기결정성 동기와의 관계를 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2가지 연구내용이 제시되었다. 첫째는 초등학생들의 창의성향은 내·외재동기와는 어떠한 상관이 있으며 창의성향을 가장 잘 설명해주는 성취동기 하위요인은 무엇인지 알아보는 것이다. 둘째는 창의성향과 자기결정성 동기와의 상관을 살펴보고 설명력이 높은 동기유형을 알아보는 것이다. 서울시에 소재한 초등학교 4·5학년 337명을 대상으로 검사를 실하여 자료를 수집 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 창의성향은 내·외재 동기와 자기결정성 동기와 밀접한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 두 동 기유형에 서도 특히 내재동기와 자기결정성이 높은 유형의 동일시, 통합, 내적동기와 창의성향이 상관이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 동기요인이 창의성향과 관련이 높음을 지지해주는 결과이며 특히 초등학생의 경우는 내재동기의 중요성과 함께 자기결정성 동기의 외재동기유형가운데 동일시, 통합 등의 외재동기가 창의적 사고능력 발달에 의미 있는 변인임을 알 수 있어 동기유발 지도에 실제적인 정보를 제공했다고 볼 수 있다.
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relative predictive power of motivation variables in predicting children\'s creative personality. The instruments used in this study were \'Creative Personality Scale(CPS)(Hah, 2001)\', (WPI; Work Preference Inventory)(Hah, 2003), and \'Self - Regulation Scale (Park․ Lee․ Hong, 2005)\'. Self-reported response data on these instruments from 338 Primary school in Seoul were analyzed by spss 14.0 program. The results of the study were as follows; first, there are significant positive relation in intrinsic/extrinsic motivation and self-determinative motivation(identified regulation, intrinsic motivation) and creative personality. identified regulation, intrinsic motivation is the best predictor of creative personality among the motivation types in primary school students. Creative researchers have generally agreed that motivation is more effective in creative performance than any other reasons. The results of this study clearly supported revised view of self-determination motivation. Therefore, this study suggests that the education of creativity will be adapted by the sub area type of motivation.
