HiRes Fidelity system is capable of delivering 120 spectral bands. The primary objective of this study is to compare speech perception benefits in postlingual adults implanted with the HiResolution Bionic Ear who used both HiRes Fidelity 120 and standard HiRes sound processing. Eleven subjects participated in the study. A within-subject repeated measures design was employed, and subjects participated in four visits over a three month and two week time period. Speech perception was examined using monosyllabic and bisyllabic words and sentences from the Korean HINT (K-HINT) in quiet and noise. All patients completed a strategy preference questionnaire after 3 month and two weeks of HiRes Fidelity 120 use. Clinical trial results reveled that adult subjects demonstrated significant improvement on all speech perception tests with HiRes Fidelity 120 compared with their performance with previous standard HiRes sound processing. The SNR was compared for HiRes Fidelity 120 than with standard HiRes using K-HINT sentences, and showed a better performance for HiRes Fidelity 120 in all three tests. Comparisons between the standard HiRes and HiRes Fidelity 120 strategies showed immediate improvements for 11 subjects in favor of the HiRes Fidelity 120 strategies. The HiRes Fidelity 120 can provide some patients better in perception (in quiet and noise) and improved sound quality overall. KEY WORDS：Cochlear implant·Current steering·HiRes Fidelity 120.
