This study supports to investigate the usefulness of the Star-Wave Test by checking high school students, in their feelings of depression and responses to the drawing test.
Subjects for the study are 431 from both regular and vocational schools in Daegu city, Measurement tools are Star-Wave Test and the questionnaire about individual and Beck of
the questionnaire about depression. For data analysis the method of frequency analysis,
chi-square analysis, and one-way ANOVA are used through SPSSWIN 10.0 program, and
for post verification Scheffe's test is used. The results based on the study are as follows.
First, serious result that 64.3% of high school students have some depressions. But average depression level of the subjects scores at 13.10, that is, at the level of light depression. The results are different due to their gender, department, grade, satisfaction of their grade and their pocket money.
Second, in verification of difference of student's responses to Star-Wave Test due to their gender and department, gender is meaningful difference in their drawing form, holograph, lightening and thunder, and horizontal details. But both regular and vocational school students value intellectual pursuit by emphasizing mood interpretation and sky.
Third, in verification of difference of high school student's responses to Star-Wave Test of space symbolic. with painting model and in the structure verticals there appear stars, rocks, islands, cliffs, coastlines, thunder and lightening, holograph. and horizontal details appear thunder and lightening Fourth, with star-wave response test there emerges some difference on vertical structure and depression level.
