The objective of the study is to clarify the effect of the father-child dyad art therapy on the
promotion of father and child relationship by using children with attachment disorder and fathers as subjects. The study carries out a father and child relationship promoting art therapy program which consists of 12 sessions, each lasting for 60 minutes with father and child pairs. The study compares the changes in father and child interactions and child's problem actions before and after the performance of the program.
According to the result of the study, in the relationship between father and child participating in
the present art therapy program, fathers showed an increase in behaviors to support child-rearing and behaviors coming from self-esteem, whereas children showed an increase in interactions for learning supporting behaviors and child-rearing supporting behaviors. In addition, according to the comparison of changes in children's problem actions before and after the performance of the program, children's social immaturity and aggressive behaviors among children's problem actions are decreased and changed in positive ways.
