The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of the therapeutic use of scribble drawings on the stress reduction of a married career woman. This is a case study of an art therapy which had been conducted once a week or once every other weeks or once a month
depending on the client\'s psychological state from March to October of 2007. There were 15
sessions and each session lasted 100~120 minutes. The research instruments were MMPI and the stress scales that based on Jongmok Lee and Hangi Park\'s modification of the
Socio-Psychological Well-Being Index. To verify the effectiveness of this study, the stress level
was examined three times, immediately before and after the test, and approximately one month
after the test. The results of this study are as follows. First, As each session proceeded, it
became clear that scribble drawings changed the woman\'s mind and body, resulting from
reduced stress. Second, It was confirmed that the woman\'s stress scales considerably decreased in three different examinations of the stress scales. Therefore, this study shows that the art therapy through scribble drawings can be helpful for the stress reduction of the a married career woman.
