This study is to examine out the group art therapy program combining Transactional Analysis on the marital communication and marital intimacy of married woman. The study object is 16 student counselling volunteers in G city. Among them, 8 volunteers who apply for the program voluntarily are arranged as the experimental group, and the rest of them who does not apply for the program voluntarily are arranged as the control group. The program is carried out in 9 sessions for 2 hours perasession from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. for 3 days from June 22, 2009 to June 24, 2009. To confirm the effectiveness of the program, Marital Communication Inventory and Marital Intimacy Test are carried out by pretest, post test and further test. For data analysis, Repeated ANOVA is carried out by SAS(ver.9.1.3), and the post-hoc analysis, Scheffe test is carried out. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the group art therapy program combining Transactional Analysis is effectiveon the improvement of the marital communication
of married woman. Secondly, the group art therapy program combining Transactional Analysisis effective on the improvement of marital intimacy of married woman. Thirdly, it is found out that an understanding and an acceptance for partner are increased by the procedures ofthe group arttherapy combining Transactional Analysis, so that marital communication and marital intimacy are formed, and so that marital relationship and parent․ children relationship are improved. This study has a significant meaning in that it apply the group art therapy combining Transactional Analysisto the marital relationship improvement program for the heightening of marital intimacy and marital communication of married woman.
