In this research, the educational and societal changes of the UK against racist crimes were probed by looking into the Stephen Lawrence case, a hate crime case occurred in the late 20’s in London. The case, initially appeared with victim and without suspect, turned out that racism played a significant role throughout the case after Sir Mcpherson’s investigations; consequently, various policies took place to alleviate such racism. Racism-related laws
were amended to enable each public organization to suggest antiracist and equal-opportunity polices; based on such policies, schools are educating their students to help them understand other races and ethnic groups, emphasize the interactions and cooperation among races/ethnic groups, and inform the negative and illegal aspects of racial discrimination. At the same time, antiracist countermeasures (manual) are informed to teachers, staff and the members of the steering committee of schools for proper enforcement. Ultimately, such educational and political movements would show that there are social efforts to solve the racist problems, and furthermore, to shape the society of inter-racial understanding and generosity.
