본 연구는 만성정신질환자대상으로 집단 미술치료의 효과를 알아 보기위해 시행한 것으로 정신전문병원에 입원한 환자 11명을 대상으로 2006. 5월부터 2007. 11월까지 주 1회로 총 72회기를 실시하였고 집단구성은 남녀 혼성,개방집단으로 회기 진행 시간은 90분으로 하였다. 집단미술치료가 대상자의 행동, 태도의 변화와 그림 양상의 변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 치료방법은 인간중심 및 게슈탈트접근법으로 진행하였다. 연구결과는 첫째로 대상자의 행동, 태도변화는 연구자와 병실근무자가 집중 관찰한 결과를 보면 대체적으로 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 둘째로 그림양상변화는 초기와 후기의 풍경구성법으로 전체적으로 화면 이용도나 공간구성도가 높아지고 항목마다 개인별 차이는 있으나 현실적이고 구체적인 표현이 관찰되었다. 본 연구는 만성적인 정신질환으로 장기간 병실생활과 병실에서 약물치료와 다른 치료를 함께 받고 있는 대상자를 중심으로 시행되었으며 순수한 미술치료의 효과만으로 설명할 수 없다. 그러나 환자들을 장기간 관찰을 통해 미술치료의 전, 후 및 치료시간 중에 관찰 가능한 대상자의 행동, 태도의 변화를 본 것과 순수 그림 자체의 양상변화로 측정한 것이 의의가 있다고 본다. 연구결과로 제언을 한다면 차후 반복 연구가 필요하고 특히 미술치료의 효과를 측정할 수 있는 객관적 도구 및 다양한 프로그램의 개발이 필요하리라 본다.
The purposes of this study was to see the effects of group art therapy on chronicmental illness. The subjects were 11 patients atmental hospital in goyang city.There searche rappalled the group art therapy to chronicmental illnessatment alhospital for 90minutes once aweek total72sessions.The researcher have observed and studied the conditions of subjects for three years or longer and have observed psychotic symptoms ofpatient, delusional, unrealistic thinking, with drawal into self,social isolation, perceptual & cognitive impairment(a deficit of attention, concentration, reality sense).The art therapy program ofthis study employed collage,LMT,HTP and so on.Collective works were designed to improvement of concentration, attention, self-disclose, interpersonal relationship. In a concrete way, First schizophrenic patient who attended program ofgroup arttherapy showed improvement of psychotic symptom patterns, attention, concentration, self-esteem, self disclose, drug sideeffects, interpersonal relationship. Second, aspect of LMT was pattern, content, colors of primary & later session. The results of this study were a little changes of patients behavior & attitude, attention, concentration, and thepicture aspects of LMT, for primary and later of group art therapy. Based on study result,Theresearcherwould like to recommend as follows. First, since this study has done at the a certainmental hospital.There is limitation to generalize of results. Therefore it is required that group art therapy program apply to the patients of other rehabilitating facilities and to the inpatient, soverify the effects of the program. Second, it was not easy to exclude causes which is not controlled during the program at mental hospital therefore more study should be done consideration of this matter. If we prepare the opportunity of art therapy for the chronicmental illeness positively and expansively the most must be cometrue. There search eris recommended as re-study, and the development of the rapeutic program.
