"The aim of this thesis is to clarify the effect of Mandala art therapy on the problem behavior of ADHD-prone infants. Study subjects are 10 infants among the S Child Care Center located in D city. Five infants were arranged as test group, and the other five infants were arranged as control group. The Mandala art therapy was carried out for the test group during 20 sessions twice a week for about 3 months from July 21, 2008 to September 29, 2008. and each session lasting 40 minutes. The research tool is K-ADHDDS, which is carried out at pre-test, post-test, and further test. For the data analysis, Wilcoxcon Ranks Sum Test, a nonparametric test, was carried out. And also to clarify the effects of the Mandala art therapy on the lessening of carelessness, impulsiveness, hyperactivity of the test group by observations on behavior, this researcher and an assistant researcher recorded, and analyzed the variations in the frequency of the problem behaviors based on the observations on behavior by each sessions. The results of this research are as follows. Firstly, in the result of analyzing the effect of the Mandala art therapy on the carelessness of the ADHD-prone infants, in case of the test group, the carelessness score is reduced significantly. Secondly, in a result of analyzing the effect of the Mandala art therapy on the impulsiveness of the ADHD-prone infants, in case of the test group, the impulsiveness score is reduced significantly. Thirdly, in a result of analyzing the effect of the Mandala art therapy on the hyperactivity of the ADHD-prone infants, in case of the test group, the impulsiveness score is reduced significantly. This study has a significant meaning in that this study can be an alternative treatment for the ADHD-prone infants, and will give a great help to the teacher who has difficulties at the actual educational field.
