The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of creating a special education environment on teachers' expertise and counseling.
The subjects of this study were sixty-two people: twenty- two special class teachers and forty general class teachers in charge of the integrated education from pre, elementary and secondary schools in N city in Jeonbuk province.
As a result of grasping the exact estate through the survey and applying expertise promotion program - a special education environment creation program - on a monthly basis, it could be concluded that.
First, creating a special education environment did influence the promotion of special education related teachers' expertise.
Second, creating a special education environment did influence the counseling of special education related teachers.
Here are a few suggestions on follow-up studies for special education related expertise promotion and counseling First, the studies on systematic special education related training are needed for both special, integrated class teachers and all the other general teachers.
Second, the systematic studies are needed on the supporting system of the education service which the subjects of the special education receive, so that general class teachers and administrative work designated persons have the full knowledge of that system.
