"This study as set the target as elders who are over 60 years old living in Seoul area as of March, 2010 in order to clarify the effect of physical and social abilities of the elders participating in dance sports on leisure satisfaction while the sample has been extracted using Cluster Random Sampling for sampling the subjects of investigation. For the extraction process of the sample, the sampling framework was prepared based on elderly welfare center, district resident center and elderly nursing home selecting six facilities based on Gangnam-gu and Gangdong-gu areas in Seoul using the random number table to sample a total of 400 people including 200 participants and 200 non-participants. Among the total of 400 questionnaires, The t-test and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS 12.0 program on the 376 samples excluding insincere responses and partially omitted data to derive the following conclusion.
First, for the difference of physical ability, social ability, leisure satisfaction between the elders who are participating in dance sports and elders who are not participating in dance sports, significant difference was shown in the physical ability, social ability and leisure satisfaction.
Second, as a result of analyzing the effect of physical ability on physical, emotional and social leisure satisfaction, the positive (+) effect was shown in all of them including physical, emotional and social leisure satisfaction.
Third, as a result of analyzing the effect of social ability on physical, emotional and social leisure satisfaction, the positive (+) effect was shown in all of them including physical, emotional and social leisure satisfaction.
