The purpose of this study is to develop the program of solution-focused group therapy for the children and apply the program to the children of single parent families. First of all. considering the characteristics of children\'s congnitive and emotional development, the researcher examined the issues related to the solution-focused approach to apply to the children, and attempted to reframe the solution-focused questions as being appropriate therapeutic techniques for the children. With the children\'s appropriate version, solution-focused program of 6 sessions was developed, and applied to the children. The participants of the group therapy were 4 female children of lower class, single-parent families, aging between 11 and 12 years old. The program was performed once a week for six weeks. The results of the group therapy were qualitatively analyzed by the researcher. As results of the program, the solution-focused group therapy program for the children was found to be effective in terms of ‘emotional purification’, ‘self-understanding and self-acceptance’, ‘coping ability to difficulty’, ‘achievement of the goal’, ‘change of the view’, and ‘accomplishment’.
