본 연구는 정신장애인 사회복귀시설에서 일하는 사회복지사를 대상으로 그들이 가지고 있는 장애 개념화와 역할지향성에서 보이는 특성을 파악하고, 이들이 어떤 관련성을 가지고 있는지를 규명해 내 고자 수행되었다. 분석결과 사회복지사가 구조적 모델 입장을 견지할수록 거시적 역할을 지향하며, 문화적 모델 입 장을 견지할수록 통합적 역할을 지향하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 장애개념의 사회적 모델 관점 을 가지고 있는 사회복지사들은 이전보다 포괄적 역할을 위해 환경적인 접근에 대한 가치와 지식, 그 리고 기술 습득을 지향하고 있다는 점을 시사한다. 그러나 개별적 모델에 속하는 생물학적 모델과 심 리학적 모델은 역할지향성에 아무런 영향을 주지 않았다. 본 연구는 지역사회정신보건 실천현장에서 정신장애를 바라보는 관점과 논의의 폭을 확장시키면 서, 사회복지사들의 역할을 재성찰할 수 있는 기회를 제공함과 아울러, 역할과 관련된 교육프로그램 개발에 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.
This paper argues what related between conceptualization of disability and role orientation of social workers in Social Rehabilitation Facilities for person with mental disorder. After analyzing the data the result shows that the structural model, a social workers position was a macro-oriented role. And social workers in the cultural model, an integral role in a position oriented. The results of the social model perspective, the concept of disability has a social worker for the role of the more comprehensive approach to environment-oriented knowledge and skills, and suggests that there is. However, biological models that belong to the individual models and psychological models did not affect the role orientation. This result will attribute to give opportunity of reflection to social worker confusing role identity, also to offer basic data of developing education program related to social worker\'s role in the field of community mental health practice.
