우리나라는 고령화사회를 맞이하여 지역사회에서 노인을 대상으로 일하고 있는 사회복지사의 노인에 대한 태도는 매우 관심있는 주제이다. 따라서 본연구는 지역사회 종합사회복지관과 노인복지관에 근무하는 사회복지사들의 노화불안과 노인에 대한 태도를 살펴보고, 이들의 노화불안이 노인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대구․경북․울산지역의 53개 종합복지관 부설 재가노인복지팀 및 노인복지관에서 근무하는 사회복지사 115명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 사회복지사들의 노인에 대한 태도는 중립적이었으며 노화불안은 중간보다 약간 낮은 수준이었다. 사회복지사의 노화불안은 노인에 대한 태도와 부적 상관관계를 나타냈으며, 노인에 대한 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 노화에 대한 불안이 높을수록 노인을 대하는 태도가 부정적이므로 이러한 것들이 노인복지서비스에 부정적으로 영향을 미치지 않도록 하는 방안을 몇 가지 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the social worker\'s Attitude toward the Elderly related to Anxiety about aging. The survey was conducted in 19th, June - 3th, July 2009. The respondents were 115 social worker in Daegu, Ulsan city and Gyeongsangbuk-Do area. The data was analyzed with the descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS 14.0. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the social worker\' average level of attitude toward the Elderly was 78.73/140 point (SD=10.97), which was neutral. Second, In the range from 17 to 85, the social worker\' level of anxiety about the aging was 45.26/85 point (SD=8.07), which was lowerer than medium level(51.00). Third, According to the results of correlation analysis, the anxiety about the aging was found to have significant association with the social worker\'s Attitude toward the Elderly. Forth, The anxiety about the aging affect significantly to the social worker\'s Attitude toward the Elderly (β=-.255). On the basis of the results, some suggestions on the political of the social work were presented, and it will contribute to exploration of the strategies for improving the attitude toward the elderly of social worker.
