국제 사회복지사업에 대한 사회적 기대와 요구가 증가함에 따라 그간 다양한 해외지원 사업들이 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 국제 사회복지사업의 양적확대가 비약 적으로 이루어진 것에 비해, 상대적으로 실무자에 대한 교육의 내용 및 효과에 대 한 평가는 미비하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 국제 사회복지사업을 담당하는 실무자들 대상의 국제교류업무 교육에 있어, 그 효과성을 증진시키고 실무자들의 다문화 감 수성을 향상시키기 위해 필요한 교육 방안을 탐색해 보는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 다문화 감수성 교육의 주요목표를 정리하고, 실무자의 국제교류관련 업무의 구조, 다문화 감수성의 수준, 실무자들이 이수한 국제교류업무 교육의 내 용, 실무자들의 희망하고 있는 교육의 내용 등을 조사하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 실무자들의 다문화 감수성을 향상시키기 위한 국제교류업무 교육 방안을 다문화 감수성의 하위영역별(초인지적·인지적·동기부여적·행위적 영역)로 나누어 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to explore educational approaches that could be effective in enhancing the level of cultural sensitivity among service providers in international social welfare settings. This study investigated important educational goals for cultural sensitivity training, task structures of international exchange services, cultural sensitivity levels of service providers, current educational programs for service providers, and future program needs of service providers. The study concludes with suggestions for improving cultural sensitivity of service providers through educational training approaches.
