본 연구는 교육대학생의 농구동아리 참여에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 경인지역에 위치한 G교육대학교에 재학하는 농구동아리 회원 30명을 대상으로, 농구에 대한 본인의 생각, 그리고 농구동아리 에 참가하게 된 동기, 참가 지속, 그리고 어떨 때 농구동아리를 탈퇴하고 싶었는지 등에 관한 개방형 질문지를 사용하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육대학생의 농구동아리 참가 동기로는 농구에 대한 열정, 체계적인 농구 기술 습득, 체육관 등 좋은 공간에서 농구를 할 수 있는 기회의 증가, 그리고 농구를 통해 스트레 스를 해소하고자 하는 이유에서 참가하게 된 것으로 타나났다. 둘째, 교육대학생들의 농구동아리 참가 지속 요인 으로는 농구 기량향상을 통한 성취감 체험, 전국교육대학교 우승이라는 구성원의 동일 목표, 대인관계 형성, 구성 원의 화합 및 결속, 농구동아리의 전통인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째 농구동아리 참가 중단 요인으로는 농구 기량 정 체, 동아리 모임에서의 과도한 음주문화, 그리고 시간의 제약 인 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the participation factor of basketball club among the university students of education. Using purposive random sampling, 30 basketball club members of university were sampled and asked to respond the opened questionnaire. They answered about the idea of basketball, participation of motivation, participation of continuation, and participation of discontinuation. The results from this study are as follows : First, the participation motivations of basketball club were passion of basketball, systematic acquisition of basketball skill, increase of chance to play at good place, and reduce of stress. Second, the participation continuation of basketball club were experience of fulfilled with upgrading of basketball skill, same purpose of members to be champion of the tournament among the university of education. development of personal relations, cohesion of members, tradition of basketball club. Third, the participation discontinuation of basketball club were stagnant of basketball skill, excessive drinking among the club members, and restriction of time to play basketball.
