The purpose of this study was to assess the difference of body composition ratio and basal metabolic
rate(BMR) by %fat of elementary school students. 390 elementary school students were divided into "Normal
Group", "Overweight Group" and "Obesity Group" based on %fat. The body composition was assessed with
the N20(aiiacommunication). Check items was %fat, ICF, ECF, TBW, Protein, Mineral, Muscle mass(MM),
Visceral fat area and Basal metabolic rate(BMR). The physique measurement was performed using the
following items: hight, weight. Physique was assessed with the N20(aiiacommunication). In body composition
ratio ,all items(%fat, ICF, ECF, TBW, Protein, Mineral, Muscle mass and Visceral fat area) are showed
significantly difference(p<.001) among normal group, overweight group and obesity group. Body composition
ratio's all items showed high %fat group as low figure, but visceral fat area showed high %fat group as high
figure. In basal metabolic rate(BMR), men's case, normal group had highest figure. The figure showed
significantly difference(p<.05) between groups. Women's case, obesity group had highest figure. The figure
showed significantly difference(p<.05) between groups
