청소년 자살 문제는 심각한 사회적 이슈로 인식되고 있다. 본 연구는 청소년 자살 문제, 특 히 학업우수 청소년에 자살문제를 이해하고자 관련 요인을 파악하였다. 청소년 및 영재 청소 년이 개인 심리적 특성, 사회적으로 혹은 가정 내에서 심리적 부담감을 가지고 있으며, 청소 년 자살 문제에 대한 개괄적인 요인들을 파악하였다. 본 연구에서는 일반 청소년의 자살과 관 련된 요인을 내적으로 자아존중감, 스트레스, 우울증으로 살펴봤으며, 외적으로는 가족적 요인 과 사회적 요인으로 구분하였다. 영재 청소년 자살에 관한 변인으로 내적 요인은 발달적 비 동시성, 과민성, 완벽주의, 과도한 자기비판이 있고, 외적으로는 부모의 양육과 기대, 획일화된 교육 과정과 학교 환경, 또래 관계, 사회적 기대로 정리하였다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 자살 을 예방에 대한 대안과 사회적 관심 등을 논의하였다.
Nowadays, many teenagers attempt to commit suicide and this issue is a serious problem. This study identified and explored the variables that are related to the teenage suicide issue, especially among the students who receive good grades in school. This study reviewed the psychological traits of teenagers and how they are related to the psychological variables of suicide in society and in family. The major variables that explain why teenagers attempt to commit suicide are related to levels of stress and depression, and for the gifted students, it is related to a high level of self-criticism and the obsession with being perfect. At the end of this study, we discussed ways to prevent teenagers from commiting suicide and how to draw the attention of society to this matter.
