This study is to develope self-empowerment strategies and to evaluate effectiveness of the strategies
through experience them. For the purpose, this study reviewed the concept of self-empowerment, It
examines effects of the strategies on 6 novice special education teachers. Through applying the
strategies and analysing it, some significant differences were found in total empowerment and its
sub-factors, goal oriented awareness, efficacy, self-determination, job satisfaction between intervention
group and control group after 10 intervention sessions. These findings suggested that this strategies
be helpful for beginning special education teachers' self-empowerment. It is meaningful to prove
utility if the strategies in special education situation with limited training or growing opportunities
for special education teachers.
