The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of circuit training on glucose, hyperlipid biomarker and
CRP in obese high school students. Eighteen Obese high school students who were randomly assigned two groups: exercise group (N=9, 17.3±.5 yrs, 170.±5.9 cm, 82.2±6.9 kg, 28.4±1.5 kg․m-2) and non-exercise group (N=9, 17.2±0.4 yrs, 173.5±5.8 cm, 87.8±10.4 kg, 29.1±2.4 kg․m-2). A 12-weeks circuit training program consisted of three phases; warm-up, main exercise, and cool-down, was applied to the exercise group. Before and After the program, glucose(glucose, insulin), hyperlipid(Total cholesterol, Triglyceride, HDL-C), and CRP was measured
and analyzed by One-way ANOVA with repeated measure. As a result, 12 weeks circuit training has no significant differences between(B) and within(W) groups and B×W on glucose, hyperlipid biomarkers, and CRP(p>.05) in this study. Consequently, circuit training were not influenced to obese high school students in this study. Further study need to newly developed criteria of BMI to an obese high school students for their evaluations.
