Nowadays, elderly women are still often excluded from lifelong education.
This phenomenon often causes insecure existence for them. To guarantee their
existence, educational welfare of elderly women has to be accomplished.
This research is based on vocational biography. By means of biographic
narrative interviews with 12 elderly women, who are working, participating life
long learning programs or searching for jobs. The results of the study indicates
as below. Firstly, the elderly women want to work as long as they can.
Secondly, during the working process, the women develop their identity and
become protagonists in their life. The findings suggest that, socially low income
women should hired with priority and integrated to get employability and have
better working competencies.
