요 약 본 연구는 성인학습자를 대상으로 지금 우리사회의 통합을 가로 막는 요인과 교육격 차의 실상을 파악했으며, 우리사회의 학력에 대한 의식과 사회통합을 위한 교육격차 해 소방안을 조사, 연구하였다. 연구방법으로 전국 20세 이상 성인 중 교육에 참여하고 있는 성인학습자를 대상으로 718명을 무작위로 표본추출 하였다. 연구조사 도구로 리커트 5단 계 척도를 사용한 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구결과 사회통합을 저해하는 불평등 요인은 직업 불평등, 학력불평등, 소득불평등 순으로 높게 나타났다. 또한, 교육결과 격차, 교육 과정 격차, 교육 접근기회 격차 순으로 우리사회의 교육격차가 심하다고 인식하였다. 교 육격차 해소방안으로는 교육시설의 균등화 방안, 무상교육 확대, 저수준 학교의 국가차원 의 보상, 직업교육을 포함한 평생교육 실시 등의 순으로 적절하다고 제시되었다. 그러나 상위에 포함된 대부분의 해소방안이 국가의 교육정책 전환과 시행을 통해서 가능하고, 연구대상자인 성인학습자에게 직접적인 혜택은 없는 것이었다. 반면, 직업교육을 포함한 평생교육의 실시는 성인학습자가 국가의 지원 없이도 직접 실시할 수 있고, 체험적으로 느낄 수 있는 실제적인 교육격차 해소방안으로 사회통합에 기여할 것이다.
This study is try to understand the reason that hindered our social integration and the real condition of educational gap through the adult learners. Also, This thesis studied the solution to educational gap for the social integration and the awareness of educational level in our society. The method for study extracted random samples among 718 persons of adult learners who is being educated throughout the country. The result of study appeared the vocational inequality, the educational inequality and the income inequality as the reason that hindered our social integration. And our society has the seriousness of educational gap which include the gap of education result, education course and education opportunities. The solution for educational gap is the equalization of educational facilities, the expansion of free charge education, the national indemnities for poor school and the enforcement of lifelong education including vocational education. But most of the solution is possible through the change and enforcement of educational policy in the nation. On the contrary to this, the adult learner can enforce the lifelong education including vocational education without the national support and contribute to our social integration as the real solution of educational gap for social integration.
