본 연구는 아동권리존중 양육에 대한 유아기 부모의 인식을 중요도와 실행도의 측면에서 살펴보고, 이를 IPA기법으로 분석함으로써 아동권리존중 양육을 위해 우선적으로 고려되어야할 요소를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 D시와 S시에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집에 재원중인 영·유아의 부모들을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였고, 235명의 응답 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 아동권리존중 양육 인식은 전체적으로 중요도에 비해 실행도가 낮았으며, 하위요소별로는 사랑과 보살핌, 건강과 안전, 의견존중, 비폭력적 양육, 긍정적 양육, 의사결정참여 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, IPA 매트릭스를 통한 아동권리존중 양육에 대한 유아 부모들의 중요도와 실행도 차이를 알아본 결과, 중요도와 실행도가 모두 높아 지속유지 영역에 분류된 요소는 건강과 안전, 의견존중, 사랑과 보살핌으로 나타났으며, 의사결정참여, 긍정적 양육, 비폭력적 양육은 중요도와 실행도가 모두 낮은 우선순위 영역으로 분류되었다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 유아기 부모들의 아동권리존중 양육에 대한 인식 재고와 양육의 질 향상을 위한 방안에 대해 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to provide suggestions for parenting respect for children’s rights by understanding early childhood parents’ awareness about child rights respecting parenting through IPA. The participants were 235 parents of early childhood in D city and S city who were in kindergartens and childcare centers. The findings of this study were as follows: First, the importance level of early childhood parents’ perception on the child rights respecting parenting was high, but the performance level was lower than that. By subcomponents, it was folled by ‘love and care’, ‘health and safety’, ‘respect for opinion’, ‘non-violent rearing’, ‘positive parenting’, and ‘decision making participation’. Second, according to IPA, there were the ‘health and safety’, ‘respect for opinion’, ‘love and care’ area of sustainability, and the ‘decision making participation’, ‘positive parenting’, ‘non-violent rearing’ were analyzed to be low priority area. We discussed the improvement direction and the applications on quality of instruction of on the child rights respecting parenting.
